Data protection

We care about the protection of your personal data. In this data protection statement we explain how we collect your personal data, what we do with them, for which purposes and and on which basis this happens. Besides this, you will receive information regarding your rights.

In the fulfilment of (EU) 2016/679 regulation of 27th April 2016, hereafter known as GDPR, we would like to communicate the following information pursuant to art. 13 and Art. 14:

Purpose and legal basis for data processing:

When you visit our websites, we save certain information on the browser and operating system that you are using, the time and date of your visit, access status (e.g. if you were able to view a website or if you received an error report), the use of the website functions, the search criteria you likely entered, the frequency that you visit a website, the description of files retrieved, the data volume transferred, the website that you used to access our website, and the website that you visit after our website whether you click onto links on our website or enter a domain in the field on the same tab (or the same window) of the browser that you have used to open our website. Besides this, we save your IP address and the name of your internet service provider, the country you are accessing the website from, the language the website is viewed in as well as the duration of your visit for security reasons, particularly for the prevention and identification of attacks on our website or attempted fraud;

The temporary saving of your IP address by the system is necessary in order to allow the website to connect to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address of the person concerned has to be saved for the entire duration of the session.

Purpose:

1. We use the personal data collected from those visitng our website in order to ensure that it is user-friendly and to protect our systems from attack.

2. When you inform us of personal data e.g. as part of the registration process, a contact form, a survey, a competition or to fulfil a contract, we use these for the purposes mentioned, for the purposes of customer management and for the carrying out of certain business procedures, to the requisite extent in each case.

Legal basis:

1. The legal basis for processing your data is your granting us consent to process your personal data (see art. 6, paragraph 1, letter a) GDPR)

2.  Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter b) GDPR is the legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purposes of extending special offers or fulfilling a contract with you.

3. We are authorised subject to art. 6, paragraph 1, letter c) to process your personal data for the fulfilment of our legal duties.

4. Besides this, we process personal data for the purposes of defending our legal interests pursant to art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f) GDPR.

Justified interests:

The maintenance of the correct functioning of the IT systems, the marketing of our own products and services, as well as the documentation of business contacts are our justified interests.

Intention of handing data to a third country or internation organisation:

Your data will not be handed to third countries of international organisations.

Your rights:

You may demand confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you have been processed by us. You additionally have the right to the rectification or deletion of the personal data concerning you, a right to restricting their processing as well as the right to object to their processing;                                                                                                                                                 You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you and put at our disposal by you in a structured, conventional and machine-readable format. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the authorities without prejudice to any judicial remedy, in particular in the member state of your holiday location, your place of work or the place of the alleged violation, if you are of the opinion that the processing of the personal data concerning you is in breach of the GDPR.

Availability of the personal data:

You are neither legally nor contractually obliged to let us have your personal data. However, certain functions of the website may depend on you letting us have your personal data. If you choose not to leave your personal data in these cases, it will lead to functions of the website not being available or only to a limited extent.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the saving of data in logfiles is required for the running of the website.

Nevertheless, our data protection statement may change at any time due to new European regulations or instructions from the data protection authorities.
